International Scientific Conference "Consciousness in Virtual Reality"
International Scientific Conference "Consciousness in Virtual Reality"
Throughout history, humans have always encountered and created virtual realities in one form or another – including through films, books, paintings, and, in earlier times, myths. The best examples of these genres were not only aimed at helping the recipient understand the plot, but also at enabling them to “live” the story, meaning they would gain personal experience within a certain virtual environment.
With the development of science, art, and technology, the phenomenon of virtual reality has become widespread. A significant contribution has also come from the advancement of artificial intelligence technologies, capable of simulating human communication. In 2025, we mark the 75th anniversary of Alan Turing’s paper, in which he proposed replacing the question of whether a computer can think with the question of whether it can play the imitation game – a paper that greatly influenced the development of artificial intelligence and its image in society. Today, the virtual environment increasingly incorporates artificial “agents,” which are being increasingly perceived by humans as full participants in communication.
At our conference, we propose discussing issues related to the transformation of the human experience, a significant portion of which now takes place in artificially created virtual realities, as well as the simulation paradigm of artificial intelligence.
Participation in the conference is free of charge, travel and accommodation costs are paid by the participant himself
